NERVOUS VENUS  Chapter 2

	"A burst that blew away all I saw value in 'till now...she made 
me fall into love..."

	They are doing self-introductions at the new school.  Seki, (the 
guy chewing gum in the last chapter), introduces himself, saying "My 
hobby is (censored) alone by myself at night.  I just can't stop..."  
The class bursts out in laughter, then he quickly adds, "But...now I'm 
in love, so I won't anymore!"  Then running over to Haru, he proposes, 
then bursts into tears when she takes it as a joke.

	In the cafeteria, girls at Haru's table are talking.  They say 
he's really fine, till he opens his mouth.  They also say he has a twin 
brother who's not at all like him.  Haru just wishes she didn't have to 
sit next to him.  "But he really loves ya, huh?"  Jokes one girl.  Haru 
replies, "He's just tryin' to be funny...it doesn't mean anything."  
"Well why don't ya go out with him?" says another.   Haru laughs, "You 
gotta be kidding!  With that king of the base"  Just then, there's a 
loud shout, "Hey you, where the hell d'you think you're sitting!?"  Seki 
faces the guy who sat next to Haru and threatens to "fondle his 
breasts".  (More laughter).  "Just remember, that I'm the one who sits 
next to Haru, ok 'honey'?"  Then Seki steals his udon.  Haru chimes in, 
"Uh, Seki?  It's kinda loud, so could you...go over there?"  Seki is 
shocked..."You mean...my, my, Haru!  You mean _here_??  So bold!"  As he 
starts taking off his clothes, Haru yells at him to quit it.  "And 
besides, don't call me Haru!  Your getting too familiar!!"  Seki 
replies, "Aa...I can't do that...cause you're last name's 'Seki-ya', 
it's so like my name, it'd be like we're married!"  Haru turns red, and 
yells "Haru's fine, Haru's fine!" to shut him up.

	The commotion is briefly broken up when the lunch lady comes 
after Seki for not paying for his lunch.  To appease her, Seki and his 
friend, Kanda, say "Thank you for the delicious food", kiss her, and 
take off running.  Haru says she's tired.  After all this commotion, a 
boy, who says he's the P.E. rep, asks Haru what event her class is going 
to participate in.  She tells him that because of these "dopes" (i.e. 
Seki and Kanda), she hasn't been able to discuss it.  The rep laughs, 
"Yeah, he really made a scene.  But y'know I was really surprised to see 
you  make such a fuss.  You're usually so quiet!"

	Some friends from the swim club remind Haru that they're 
supposed to go clean the locker room.  As she goes with them she thinks, 
"Laughs, friends with everyone, swim club is the best!  Everyday is so much 
fun!  I don't want any changes. I won't let anyone intrude again."

	Seki's twin brother, Reiji, finds Seki and Kanda sitting in the 
hall as punishment for "eating and running".  Seki  tells Reiji  not to 
talk to him.  Kanda reminds him that that Reiji is his older brother, 
and he should show him some respect.  "But he's so slow he pisses me 
off!" Seki barks.   Reiji laughs, and says he's gonna tell everybody at 
home.  Just then, Seki hears Haru telling a friend she's skipping 
practice to go to the dentist.  Seki grabs Reiji and puts the "I ate and 
ran" sign around his neck.  Then he takes off.

	Reiji tells Kanda that he doesn't mind, cause he wasn't doing 
anything anyway.  Kanda says, "But he's your _younger_ brother!   
Anyway, why is he so awful to you?"  Reiji  replies, "He's been like that 
for a long time."  He smiles.  "Maybe it's cause he showed me the thing 
he most wanted not to show."  Kanda turns, and asks, "You  mean that 
thing that time?"  "Yeah, that!"  Reiji  says with a smile.  Kanda 
thinks to himself, "Wow, Rei-Chan (Reiji) is sooo cute!  Ah be strong!  
Gotta stop that!  I'm descending into a forbidden world!  "Kan-Chan, 
you're shouldn't be like that! "  (^^;;)

	"Screeeeeaaaaaaammmmm!!!"  Seki has put his arm around Haru, 
saying ," Shall we go, Haru?"  Haru turns bright red and shouts, "Hey 
what's this hand!?"  "My right hand!" answers Seki with a smile.  As 
Haru pounds Seki, she bumps into an old friend she hasn't seen since Jr. 
High.  The friend asks who the "babe" she's with is, and Haru replies, 
"a pervert!"  Seki introduces himself as her "wonderful darling", then 
acts hurt when she objects.

	Haru and her friend talk about the upcoming practice match.  
They are from rival schools.  Then her friend says, "By the way, 
Aki-Kun (Akira) is coming up, isn't it?  Y'know, Aki-Kun's Jr. High 
record hasn't been broken yet!  He was really amazing. Even now I can 
still sense his vitality and charisma.   You know I was a big fan of 
his, he shook my hand once!  Geez, my knees were knocking so bad! If 
Aki-Kun'd kept going,  I think he would've been really incredible."  
Seki listens, sees Haru's strained smile, and wonders.

	Seki and Kanda are joking and cheering Haru on during swimming 
practice.  Afterwards, Haru approaches, clearly miffed.  "I'm gonna make 
this  perfectly clear", she says, "I don't have even the slightest 
intention of going out with you.  You're really getting to be a pain, so 
will you please cut it out!"   Seki leans back, sighs, then says, 
"Face ok!  Body perfect!  Total, a "wild beauty" even guys would fall 
for, so what aren't you satisfied with?"  "That personality!!"  Haru 
shouts.  Seki says flatly, "Well, if _that's_ all, you should just deal 
with it!"  Now Haru is really  mad, "And besides", she says, "I hate guys 
with earrings!"  As Haru realizes she didn't really mean that, Seki 
promptly takes out the earring, says "Oh really?" and throws it out the 
window.  "Hey!!" yells Haru, "This is the 4th floor!!  I can't believe 
you!!"

	Haru runs down to the grass outside and starts searching. "This 
ain't funny!!  I just said that sarcastically, and he goes and does 
that!  It feels like I'm responsible!!  Aaaa,  there's no way I'm gonna 
find anything that small, what am I gonna... ah!  Found it!  Wow it really 
sparkles so pretty! Guess it'ís a ruby, huh. a RUBY!?!"

	Racing back inside, Haru runs into Kanda.  Exasperated, she 
pleads with him to "do something" about Seki.  After explaining the 
situation, Kanda tells her that the earring was very precious to Seki.  
So precious, in fact, that he drove himself to finish on top of his Jr. 
High so that his parents couldn't give him grief about wearing it.  Haru 
is stunned. "What the?!?"

	When Haru finally finds Seki, she shouts, "This is real important 
to you isn't it?!"  Seki looks quizzically at the earring.  Haru 
continues, "Even if you really don't want it anymore, if it was precious 
to you,  you shouldn't throw it away like that!"  Seki smiles and 
replies, "But I don't want it!", and throws it out the window again.    
Smiling at her, he says, "I want you!"  Haru clobbers him and shouts, 
"You  vulgar!"  Seki,  laughing, says "Forget it!  You don't have to 
look for it!"  "You shut up!" Haru growls back.

	As Haru leaves, Seki and Haru are still sitting in the 
classroom.  Seki says, "Kan-Chan"   "Yes?", Kanda replies.  "Y'know, for 
the first time in a long time,  I've really fallen in love."
