Eriko Tamura, a cute blonde 14 years old girl is very happy, why? Because soon the big project directed by her father will be opened to the public: The sumbarine Dome. Eriko's father is the director of a famous discographic company, "Tamura Production", and the dome is his most ambitious and awaited project. However, not everything is happiness, Eriko meets Rei, a popular idol who seems to hate her at first sight and is very taken by Eriko's fahter. Soon the sad period becomes tragic, in the way to the opening party, Eriko's parents suffer a car accident... Eriko's mother is in coma and her father dies in the crash.
#05: Hikaru to yami no ASANBUL.
Eriko is in Hakone (famous for its onsen ^^) hiding from her uncle and training her voice. Uchida wants Saijou, the director of a TV station, to see Eriko singing so she can enter in one of the music shows. In the other hand Yasuko is having problems with Asami since she wants to know where Eriko is and Yasuko can't tell her. She finally gaves up and tell her, and Asami decides to make Yasuko take a gigant pink bear to Eriko. But Eriko's uncle has heard already where Eriko is and in the way to Hakone he throws Yasuke out of the road. Saijou hears Eriko's singing and agrees on having her on the show, in that moment Yasuko appears warning them that Kosuke is on the way there. They hide in the basement while Saijou takes him out of the place.
#06: Debut e no SUTAKKATO.
#07: Chichi no katami no DEBUT-kyoku.
Yasuko has a broken arm because the moto accident thanks to Eriko's uncle. Also, Kosuke learns that Eriko will be appearing in the music show and obligues two agents to retire their represented idol stars from the show if Eriko sings. Ryoko is behind all this plans, of course, and also has some of her own. The girl in charge of Eriko in the TV Show puts her a horrible make up while Uchida is being left unconscious by another man in the conspiration. Saijou talks with the agents of the other idols and they agree to let them appear, meanwhile Eriko hears Kosuke talking of his plans with another man and tells Saijou she preffers not to act if acting means bad for him, Saijou is not happy with her ideas and tells her so. Since everything seems to start going well for Eriko, Ryoko has an emergency plan, and Eriko recives a call from the hospital about her mother, she tryes to go to see her but Uchida, who is up again, stops her and tells her to start acting in a professional way if she wants to be one, so Eriko comes back and makes her actuation while Uchida checks with the hospital, of course, nothing was bad with Eriko´s mother. But there´s a problem, one of Eriko teachers sees her in the TV...
#08: Aratanaru tabidachi no RINATA.
Eriko has become a little famous after her appearance in the TV and
the press starts to go after her. Uchida makes Kosuke sign a paper refusing
any tutelage over Eriko (with transaction of money, of course ^_-;), and
Eriko moves to a new house where her dear old maid is also working in there.
But not everything is good, when she returns to school there's a
surprise waiting for her, she has been expulsed from the school since this
one doesn´t want show-people studing there. Asami is very angry and tries
to cheer Eriko up, but... that was a hard shock for her.
Meanwhile, some directives from Tamura Productions present their
resign and tell Kosuke they'moving to work for Eriko.
#09: Honoo no yokan no ESHUUDO.
Eriko enters a new school, one of her new classmates, a fan of Rei, doesn't seem very happy with her. Eriko also visits the studios where she will be recording her first single. Shogo and Rei are also using the same place and Eriko gets very impressed by Shogo's tenacity. Next day Eriko starts recording, but she doesn't seem to get it right so after some frustrated tryes she goes outside to the hall to rest and she meets Shogo there. In that moment Rei enters and sees them talking, what makes her jealous. In the other hand, the conversation with Shogo is very productive and thanks to it Eriko gets to make her recording as desired!
#10: Ai to nikushimi no TERCETTO.
Kosuke visits Uchida and makes a proposition for Eriko to sing as a guest in Rei's upcoming concert. Uchida doesn't eat the all-too-sudden amiable mood of Kosuke but Eriko is excited at the porspect of singing with Rei and Kosuke goes to the lengh of kneeling in front of Eriko and begging, so Eriko decides to acept the proposition. However, someone forgot to tell Rei about this and she gets pretty mad at this (more after a confrontation she had with Eriko earlier where she told her something a-la "what is a rich girl like you doing in here?"), so she refuses. But after some words of Shogo she finally acepts Eriko thinking that she will fall in disgrace since her public adores her and wont like Eriko. The concert will have various cars moving on the stage and while Eriko is trying where she has to stay, Kosuke is laughing evily in the background.
Rei is having problems fighting her jealousy of seeing Eriko and Shogo together and the evident censure Shogo showed when Rei declared that she didn't want to sing with Eriko when Kosuke informed her. The day of the concert arrives and Rei is still against the idea. Right before the concert stage opens and public starts to enter, Kosuke goes to the operation room and changes the diskett that contains the orders for the movements of the cars on the stage in her song for another of his own. Concert starts and when is the time for Eriko to appear Rei just goes away without presenting her, Shogo, in the public, doesn't like this very much, nor does Kosuke. But Eriko won't back up and makes her appearance even without being presented by Rei. She goes to the stage and starts singing but the cars start to move in new directions and Eriko is confused aside of being in danger. In the control room they're trying to stop them but the reset button doesn't work and Kosuke sticked the opening glass of the emergency stop button. Back in the stage even while sorting the cars Eriko keeps on singing, Rei is surprised by this and saves Eriko in the last moment right before one car is about to run over her (in the operation room they get to stop the whole thing when breaking the glass and pushing the button at the same time). The public doesn't know how to react and Rei after congratulating Eriko sightly starts one of her songs, song Eriko joins making a very nice duet! After the concert the press gos over Kosuke congratulating him for the very smart move of making Rei rescue Eriko, he sees that way out of the debacle of his evil plans of hurting Eriko badly and, of course, gloats himself over "his plan". Note: In one scene there is a guy wearing a jacket with the face of Minky Momo printed on it. Minky Momo is another "Pierrot girl" (with Emi and Creamy mamy) ^^
Kosuke has a new plan for destroying Eriko, he contacts the agent
of a movie star named Akira who is currently in very low popularity,
and they both plan a nice trick.
Eriko fliyes to the island of Guam to make a video and Akira and
his agent go to the same place. There are some minutes of very cute
pics of Eriko while she makes the video in lots of poses and clothes.
While she is refreshing herself Eriko meets Akira and then tells
Ijuuin, who is not very happy with that. Later in the night the police
calls Ijuuin and Eriko has to return alone to the hotel, while she's in
her room she recives a call from the hotel's reception telling her that
Ijuuin is waiting for her. However we can see that it was Akira's agent
who was the one who had ordered the the call. When Eriko goes down the
man at the reception tells her that Ijuuin just leaved, so Eriko goes
out to search for him.
While she's looking around, two man confront her and attack her,
but a "very brave" Akira saves her and soothes her while his agent takes
some photos of them hugging and so. When they're back in the hotel, Akira
tells her not to say anything to Ijuuin so he doesn't worry.
The next day while filming, Eriko sees a man who is probably one
of the ones who attacked her and thinks about telling Ijuuin, but at
the end she doesn't, so they return to Japan with Eriko in a pretty
depressive mood.
Personal NOTES! ^^ I specially liked the details in this
episode, over all something you usually don't see much in anime or manga,
when they are in Guam, they speak in English with the people of Guam,
all. Usually you always hear then talking in japanese and wonder how is
that the rest of the world knows japanese so well. In Eriko they speak
English when they have to, might sound funny to hear them, but it's a
veeeery refreshing "reality" feeling from the usual shows! ^o^
The photos Akira agent took soon appear in all the magazines and news as a proof of a love affair inbetween Eriko and Akira. Ijuuin feels totally responsable of the incident and all in Uchida's office have a bad time with all the calls and such. Meanwhile Eriko tryies to be brave, in the school the principal calls her and though he understands these kind of tricks, also says that they will try for the schoolars not to look at these magazines so there are no big problems. However it's too late, Eriko class mate who is a Rei fan has one magazine and puts the photos in the announcements panel. All arround her laugh at Eriko and she runs away from the school meeting Yasuko in the way. Yasuko takes Eriko home but lots of press is waiting for her in the door and after a confrontation inbetween Yasuko and some journalists, they go away again. Akira appears in various reports more or less acepting his "relationship" with Eriko, meanwhile Uchida is having problems because of the fatigue and lack of sleep. At the next day, Yasuko appears in the newspapers when she was confronting the journalists and she gets very angry, so she goes to meet Akira in a disco and gives him a good right punch afterwards. In a press conference, Uchida faints and hits himself on the forehead with the corner of a table. Things seem to be going quite down for Eriko.
Uchida is getting better in the hospital and while Eriko is looking for him, she meets a yougn girl who always runs away when she sees her, that makes Eriko very sad. Kazuki tryes to cheer up Eriko and takes her to the zoo, then asks her to stop being an idol and return to be a normal school girl. Eriko is shocked at this and runs away. Later she goes to a TV channel studios and while looking for her room meets Rei. Rei tells her that she has no room because her actuation has been canceled, Eriko is even more shocked and Rei tells her to stop "playing to be an idol", that she has no will nor character for singing and that she "can return to her rich happy home". Eriko decides then to give up and when she is going to tell Uchida in the hospital, she hears somebody singing one of her songs, she follows the person up to the roof and discovers that it's the girl who was always running around from her. Results that the girl is a huge fan of Eriko and was just too shy to look at her. Meeting this girl makes Eriko's spirits raise a lot and she finds lots of strengh to continue fighting!
